The varsity ski team had a great performance at the WIARA State Ski Championship in La Crosse, Wisconsin from February 15th-16th. The team took second place overall against the 21 other teams racing, with strong races in Slalom, Giant Slalom, and Super G.
In Slalom, the Dashers took second place overall. The team had strong races with Kate Bradford, class of 2027, placed 11th with a time of 46.69. Elizabeth Doneff, class of 2028, placed 12th with a time of 46.74. Other Dashers also raced well including Emily Peterson placing 24th and Sophie Walker finishing 27th.
In Giant Slalom the Dashers placed 1st! Riley Doerr, class of 2026, placed 18th with a time of 35.53, and Reagan Dunn, class of 2028, placed 22nd with a time of 35.70. Many other Dashers had incredible Giant Slalom races such as Elizabeth Doneff placing 26th and Kate Bradford placing 31st.
On Monday, February 16th, the team had their last race, Super G. The Dashers placed 6th in Super G, placing them in 2nd overall. Riley Doerr placed 18th, Kate Bradford placed 30th and Elizabeth Doneff placed 31st.
