Favorite Christmas song?
Mrs. Cotey – “Santa Claus is Coming to Town, specifically by Bruce Springsteen.”
Madame McLaughlin – “We three Kings.”
Mr. Demeter – “All I Want for Christmas is You, by Mariah Carey.”
Favorite Christmas movie?
Mrs. Cotey – “Elf or Christmas Vacation, it’s too hard to pick.”
Madame McLaughlin – “Elf.”
Mr. Demeter – “Christmas Vacation, easy, hands down, easy.”
Who do you like to spend holidays with?
Mrs. Cotey – “Family.”
Madame McLaughlin – “Family and friends.”
Mr. Demeter – “Obviously my family, as well as my kids because they get so excited.”
What is your favorite part of the holidays?
Mrs. Cotey – “Baking Christmas Cookies, Getting a tree the Friday after Thanksgiving, seeing and spending time with family, all the excitement and Christmas joy. Everything.”
Madame McLaughlin – “The food! I love the meals, candles, and especially the tree.”
Mr. Demeter – “I would say spending time with family and having no obligations.”
Favorite Holiday Tradition?
Mrs. Cotey – “Playing Charades on Christmas Eve, something I’ve done since I was a kid, and it’s been passed down.”
Madame McLaughlin – “I love to make a fire in the fireplace and sit around with my family and drink hot chocolate and tell stories.”
Mr. Demeter – “I would say, I do Christmas with just my siblings and my parents on the 23rd. I also enjoy chopping down the tree for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving.”
Fake tree or a real tree?
Mrs. Cotey – “Real tree, the smell of the tree is amazing.”
Madame McLaughlin – “Real Christmas tree and a big one!”
Mr. Demeter – “Real, easy. I always had it as a kid, I think they smell better, and I like chopping it down.”
Favorite Holiday dessert?
Mrs. Cotey – “Christmas cookies.”
Madame McLaughlin – “Tarte TaTatin, a French apple tart.”
Mr. Demeter – “Pumpkin Pie.”
When do you put your tree up and take it down?
Mrs. Cotey – “The Friday after Thanksgiving, we take it down the first weekend after January 1st… Most of the time.”
Madame McLaughlin – “We put it up the week after Thanksgiving and take it down after the first week of January. I love having a live tree in the house!”
Mr. Demeter – “We put our tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving and then take it down the week after New Year.”
