Hi there! I’m Whitney, a freshman at DSHA, and I couldn’t be more excited to be contributing to The Word this year! Growing up, I have always loved reading, especially news articles, so that I can learn about current events in the world. I also love journalism, which is why one of my favorite birthday gifts of all time was a typewriter. I got it when I was 10 and used it to publish my own family newspaper!  Beyond writing, I enjoy playing golf, acting, listening to Taylor Swift and hanging out with friends and family. Enjoy The Word!
