The 2024-2025 DSHA Ski Team has had an excellent season. With a team of over forty-eight girls, many being new underclasswomen, the team has achieved so much. At the Giant Slalom race at Alpine Valley, both Varsity and JV took first place. When focusing on the Varsity Team, junior Riley Doerr took second place and sophomore Kate Bradford placed third. For JV, senior Hannah Strachota placed second and senior Ilse Kirchman-Hilander took third place for the individual competition. For the Slalom race at Heiliger Huegel, the ski team placed second overall. Once again, Riley Doerr took first place and Kate Bradford placed second for the individual Varsity competition. As for the JV individual competition, junior Emily Peterson took second place and senior Nora Sullivan placed third. At the Giant Slalom race at Heiliger Huegel, the DSHA Varsity and JV teams were both able to place first. Riley Doerr placed first in the individual race, and Kate Bradford took third. For the Slalom race at Little Switzerland, the Varsity team placed second overall, and JV placed first. Individually, Kate Bradford took home the first-place award. JV captain Hannah Strachota states that “it has been a great season”, and she is so proud of all that the teams have accomplished. Congratulations on a great season, Dashers!
